Definitions
Values presented in trade tables are ‘value for duty’ for imports and ‘free on board’ (fob) from Australian ports for exports.

Apparent consumption is defined as production plus imports minus exports.
Excludes any allowances for change in inventory or interstate transfers.

Small discrepancies in totals are generally caused by rounding.

The National Forestry Inventory uses the following definitions for tree height:
spacer low: 2–10 metres
spacer medium: 11–30 metres
spacer tall: greater than 30 metres

and the following terminology for forest area:
spacer closed forest refers to areas with trees over 2 metres tall, and with a canopy cover greater than 80 per cent;
spacer open forest refers to areas with trees over 2 metres tall, and with a canopy cover between 50 and 80 per cent;
spacer woodland refers to areas with trees over 2 metres tall, and with a canopy cover of between 20 and 50 per cent.
